Event Schedule Summary

​

Thursday evening – Meet & Greet at 5 pm. Mandatory attendance as there will be lots of important information given out regarding the schedule, including random drawings for day 1 and day 2 beats and guides, and official announcements about start and end times. 

Friday – Fishing Day 1 – Start and end times are announced on Thursday evening. (expect about 6 hours of fishing a day depending on water conditions)

Saturday – Fishing Day 2 – Start and end times are announced on Thursday evening. The banquet doors opening at 5:00 pm and awards ceremony begins at 6:15 pm. (Full details given at the Meet & Greet)

Event Details

​

Thursday

The Fishing For The Fight tournament takes place the 3rd week of July. We kick off the event on Thursday evening with a meet & greet at the Goodrich home (located at 100 Willow Lake Rd in Pinedale) starting at 5:00 PM which will include dinner, beer & wine, and orientation.

​

It is MANDATORY that you attend the Meet & Greet, as you will meet your guides, be assigned a fishing beats, guides and instructions for the next day's fishing. We’ll have a catered dinner by the river, along with great fellowship and fishing stories. There will be music and lots of fun!

Friday

On Friday, you’ll enjoy a full day’s fishing with your guide on the water that was assigned. You’ll want to get an early start and be ready to wet your line at the announced start time when scoring for the tournament begins. Remember, First Fish of the day is one of the winning categories. You’ll want to have coordinated a meeting time and place with your guide at the meet & greet the previous evening. The last fish scored has to be TOUCHED by the end time announced on Thursday evening.

 

A breakfast burrito will be provided on Friday, guides will be able to pick them up at Two Rivers. Lunch will also be provided on Friday and teams will have the choice to eat on the run!

On Friday evening, we will hold a casual dinner with a cash bar starting at 6:00 pm, exact location will be announced at the Meet & Greet on Thursday.  Day one team standing will be announced as well.

Saturday

On Saturday morning, you will enjoy fishing on your second assigned beat with your new guide. Fishing start and end times will be announced on Thursday evening. You will want to make sure you have had your breakfast and have coordinated a meeting place with your guide. The last fish scored has to be TOUCHED by the end time announced on Thursday evening. Scoring will be governed by the points system detailed in the tournament rules, which you can find here.

Breakfast for Saturday IS NOT provided so you’ll need to make arrangements that accommodate your fishing schedules, however, a snack will be provided on Saturday. 

​

On Saturday evening, teams will attend the Banquet and auction (Dogwood Valley Ranch, 10140 US HWY 191, Pinedale), where you will enjoy a catered meal and a cash donation bar, silent and live auctions with a wide range of items for every budget. Social hour begins at 5:00 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00 pm.  All of the proceeds from the auction go directly to FFF, helping families in the FIGHT so please bid early and often.

We hope you’ll plan to spend a few more days in the area fishing with a local guide or on your own in the miles of public water Sublette County has to offer. You can also enjoy hiking, mountain biking or just relaxing in our clean mountain air, wide-open spaces, and incredible natural beauty.
