Boots Allen

Boots is a third-generation guide on numerous waters in the Greater Yellowstone Area including Wyoming’s Snake and Green rivers and Idaho’s South Fork. His 30-plus years of experience in the fly fishing industry go beyond rowing a drift boat. Boots is also a well-established writer with four books and dozens of articles in national publications to his name. When not on the waters of Idaho and Wyoming, you can find him designing patterns for Montana Fly Company, giving talks and presentations around the country, and hosting fly fishing trips to exotic destinations around the world. Boots skis, hunts, and climbs as much as possible with his wife and two kids when they are not fishing.
